Closed Loop Ventures Group, the venture capital group of Closed Loop Partners, has closed its second fund of more than $50m to scale breakthrough circular economy solutions.
Closed Loop Partners mainly invests in sustainable and profitable solutions to minimise waste, enhance operational and material efficiency, as well as protect the planet.
Driven by the success of Fund I, the Closed Loop Venture Fund II will help scale breakthrough circular economy solutions across plastics and packaging, fashion, food and agriculture, and supply chain technology.
Both funds will focus on replacing inefficient, linear and extractive supply chains with healthier and waste-free circular systems.
The Closed Loop Venture Fund II is strategically placed within the company’s extensive ecosystem that consists of growth equity, private equity and project-based finance, as well as the Center for the Circular Economy.
The Ventures Group is said to be benefitted from a range of investors, including multinational corporations such as Microsoft and GS Group, foundations such as the Autodesk Foundation, and single and multi-family offices from across the US, Asia and Israel.
Closed Loop Venture Fund II already invested in solutions including Partsimony, ucrop.it and dimpora, which cover supply chain technology, food and agriculture and fashion sectors.
