Advanced Dynamics says the embossed Braille does not detract from ...

A machine for labelling the outer packaging of pharmaceutical products in Braille has been introduced by Advanced Dynamics.

The Köra-Packmat rotary Braille embosser has been launched in response to EU directive 2004/27/EU, which stipulates that pharmaceutical packaging such as aspirin boxes and prescription packs must now carry a Braille imprint.

Offering flexibility in text positioning, cost efficiency in production and process checking to ensure enhanced process security, the new machine is “ideally suited” to small and medium print runs. After die cutting it can be used to emboss Braille onto printed carton blanks. It can handle up to 20,000 carton packs/hour.
