The acquisition of Le Parfait and related brands is expected to expand Berlin Packaging's product portfolio for B2B and B2C markets

US-based packaging services provider Berlin Packaging, through its French subsidiary, has signed a binding agreement with O-I France to acquire Le Parfait business and brands.
O-I France created the Le Parfait brand in France based on the tradition of preserving homemade jams, honey, and terrines.
Le Parfait offers glass jars and lids manufactured by O-I France and its affiliates, at plants located in Puy-Guillaume, France and Sevilla, Spain.
The jars, assembled with orange rubber seals, will make them easily identifiable for consumers and ideal for preserving food and reducing wastage.
The glass jars and lids are said to be resilient, reusable, and recyclable, and the seals are made from natural and recycled rubber to reduce the carbon footprint.
With the acquisition of Le Parfait, Berlin Packaging is expected to expand its product portfolio in business-to-business (B2B) and the business-to-consumer (B2C) markets.
The transaction is expected to close by the year-end, subject to customary closing conditions and the works council consultation.
Upon closing, O-I France and its affiliates will continue manufacturing the Le Parfait glass jars and lids under a long-term supply agreement with Berlin Packaging France.
Berlin Packaging global CEO and president Bill Hayes said: “The Le Parfait brand is synonymous with sustainability and quality, both of which are essential to our business.
“This acquisition would allow us to continue to grow our footprint in Europe, while expanding our sustainable packaging solutions across the globe.”
The transaction marks the 17th acquisition for Berlin Packaging in EMEA since 2016 and the seventh acquisition in the region since 2021.
In August this year, Berlin Packaging acquired Spain-based Juvasa Group, a supplier of glass, plastic and metal packaging for the food and beverage industry.
Berlin Packaging is a large-scale hybrid packaging supplier of glass, plastic, and metal containers and closures, with manufacturing and distribution capabilities.
The company is engaged in supplying package design, financing, consulting, warehousing, and logistics services for customers across all industries.
