US-based Barrie House Coffee Roasters has expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of new Fair Trade Organic (FTO) and recyclable espresso capsules.

The new FTO espresso blends consist of Intenso darkest blend that delivers flavours and aromas of a traditional Italian espresso, and Raffinato, a dark roast blend suitable for consumers expecting a refined traditional espresso.

The new FTO espresso blends also include Dolcetto, a medium intensity blend suitable for consumers looking for a bright and sweet espresso, and Decaffeinato, which offers all the flavours and aromas of a traditional Italian espresso without caffeine.

The capsules are also suitable for all Nespresso Original Espresso machines.

Barrie House CEO Craig James said: “We know that the key to making premium quality coffee lies within the roasting process. Our techniques have been cultivated and passed down through generations and we have perfected the art of coffee roasting with our espresso capsules.

“Our aluminium capsules are designed to ensure that when you brew an espresso at home, you receive the high quality and taste as intended. It’s as if you are roasting and grinding the espresso moments before brewing.”

Barrie House is selling the new espresso capsules on its website, in addition to Amazon Prime and select retail locations.

It is offering the new espresso capsules in 10-count, 50-count, and 120-count sizes, as well as in three variety packs.

Amazon Prime offers individual and variety packs in 50-count cases.

Established in 1934 outside of New York City, Barrie House is focused on producing a variety of blends in new aluminium capsules.
