Adpal has secured a large order to wrap and strap empty steel drums at Blagden Packaging's drum reconditioning plant in Manchester.
The kit is supplied by Tosa/CMR and comprises a fully automated empty pallet feed to the palletising area, vertical strapping, horizontal strapping and high-speed rotating ring wrapping. Transorm Systems supplied the conveyors to feed the 210 litre drums to the Tosa/CMR system. Line speeds can exceed 180 pallets/hr and pallets are double stacked ready for loading by forklift truck.
An Adpal spokesman says: “The line is totally flexible. The customer can select any combination of wrap or strap formats.”
Adpal and Tosa/CMR have similar equipment working in Blagden’s sister plant in France.
