The Goring Kerr PROx operates over a wide temperature range ...

Thermo Electron’s new Goring Kerr PROx X-ray system is described as a “flexible, easy-to-use inspection unit” able to detect metal, glass, stone, bone, plastic, wire and other dense contaminants “in virtually any packed or bulk food product, and pumped items”.

It operates over a wide temperature range, is IP65 washdown compliant, and meets the strictest safety requirements, while its X-ray imaging feature and flexible detection filters optimise detection sensitivity and reduce product rejects on the assembly line.

The large colour touchscreen employs an intuitive icon-based graphical interface; new products can be set up “in minutes”.

Three models are available – a conveyor system for packaged products; a bulk flow system with multi-lane operation to minimise scrapped product and a pipeline system for liquids and slurries.
