Intellident has launched a software based verification and reporting system that will enable fresh produce suppliers to ensure information included within barcodes complies with customer requirements.
Designed with major retailers in mind, the kit allows users to scan barcoded labels and display product details from a database. It will check display dates in EAN128 and Code128 barcodes and shows a ‘pass or fail’ status which can be printed and stored.
Although developed for use with Intellident’s Etiquette and Delta Labelling software the verification kit can communicate with other Windows based labelling systems.
Three label verifier kits are available – a desk top version, a ‘pro’ system that includes verification of print quality and a mobile version that uses a Psion Workabout MX Scanner to instantly display ‘pass’ or ‘fail’.
