US packaging business conditions

According to two new reports from TrendWatch Graphic Arts, 83 per cent of consumer product companies and 73 per cent of printer/converters in the US packaging industry report business conditions to be as good or better than last year.

Highlights of the printer/converter report include: 46 per cent cited “keeping up with technological change” as a top business challenge; 40 per cent saw ‘just in time packaging’ as a top sales opportunity; and 36 per cent plan to invest in computer-to-plate systems in the next 12 months.
