Tear tape twosome

Self adhesive tear tape specialist Payne has established a second print operation at its American plant in Richmond, Virginia, to complement its existing UK facility. The multi million dollar investment includes a new six station Rotomec gravure press, a laboratory and compliance test area and a working prepress department within manufacturing, which is closely linked to new

production planning offices. The Rotomac press features advanced registration equipment and digital control to enable print designs to be registered on-line with minimal wastage.

“Payne has always recognized that an increasingly global market needs localized support,” comments Bob Donnahoo, president of Payne Americas. “The US plant is now ready to respond to the most ambitious requests and requirements from local customers. The new investment has taken us to another level.”
