Soma Engineering has a new doctor blade system for its Soma Flex range of CI flexo presses. The new Fastblade chamber has a system for rapid, tool-free blade changes, and is engineered in aluminium with an inner coating of nickel and Teflon to guard against corrosion and provide easy cleaning. Construction is said to be lightweight and compact – only 19kg for a 1,320mm width press. It can be supplied on all new Soma Flex presses and retrofitted to upgrade machines already in the field.
