SGD Pharma, a manufacturer of glass containers for primary pharmaceutical packaging, has launched Clareo, its new range of molded glass vials in Type II, for injectable solutions.

The vials, which feature technical characteristics similar to the vials in the existing range, offer a combination of homogeneous wall thickness and better cosmetic quality.

SGD Pharma said the mechanical resistance to shock of the Clareo vials has been enhanced by obtaining a more homogeneous distribution of the glass.

Clareo vials feature flat and uniform bottoms, which will facilitate thermal transfer during freeze-drying processes.

The enhancement of cosmetic quality of the vials will help improve inspectability before and after filling, helping pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) for high value-added products.

SGD said it can share a list of molecules for which compatibly with glass Type II was approved by the authorities.

SGD Pharma is claimed to be the only manufacturer that can supply vials for injectable solutions in molded glass Type II.

The company is providing Clareo vials in capacities of 20ml, 50ml and 100ml, and is also involved in developing other capacities.

SGD Pharma produces glass containers for primary pharmaceutical packaging applications. The company produces iso injectable molded vials, US injectable vials, lightweight injectable vials, Easylyo vials, and ampoules.

The company is offering iso injectable molded vials in different capacities ranging from 5ml to 250ml.

SGD is manufacturing the US injectable vials to meet the American market specifications. The vials are available in different capacities ranging from 10ml to 200ml.

Featuring flat bottom, the EasyLyo vials can resist harsh conditions of freeze-drying. It offers  optimized lyophilization cycle time and reduces risk of breakage  and stopper pop-out.

In addition, the firm offers a range of ampoules developed by using clear and amber borosilicate neutral glass. They are also avalibale in different capacities ranging from 1ml to 20ml.
