UK based Lightning Packaging has launched a range of six colour prestige boxes at commodity packaging prices – claiming cost savings of 50-60 per cent on traditional high end promotional box production.
Lightning is using six colour flexo printing, applied directly to the product carton, enabling manufacturers to merchandize their goods with high quality presentation boxes. An additional benefit is that the flexo techniques used also offer the opportunity for economical shorter print runs of 5,000-10,000 units.
Spokesperson Declan Hughes explains: “The improved packaging format has already attracted interest from toiletries and cosmetics manufacturers. Our new production means that they can enhance their sales promotion cartons, with print savings of up to 60 per cent. We can enhance further the boxes that we produce and print by offering die cut and UV varnish capabilities.”
