The latest Sapphire 1300 slitter from Ashe Converting Equipment – for processing security and hot foil stamping products – has been engineered to provide higher output, increased automation, quick change-over times and flexible manufacturing of a wide range of materials.
The slitter has an integral shaftless unwind and can accommodate roll weights of up to 1,000kg. It features a vacuum trim system, driven bowed roller, trash winder for bulk waste removal and closed loop tension sensing by loadcells for unwind and rewind. It is equipped with a digital edge guider for embossed line guiding, a backlit inspection area (viewed from the knife section walkway), and a splice table with further backlighting.
A special feature is laser core alignment, which is PC touchscreen controlled with menu storage.
