In a claimed first for the flexo and label printing sector, narrow web printing equipment manufacturer Mark Andy has developed RFID strap and inlay insertion equipment using Texas Instruments (TI) straps and inlays.
The system, which uses a Tamarack Products RFID strap and inlay insertion module, was developed in conjunction with Texas Instruments, SAMSys, Tamarack Products, Praxair Surface Technologies and Asymtek, and conductive ink suppliers ANI/Acheson Colloids, Paralec and Xink.
The system was designed for companies seeking to integrate RFID into traditional narrow web manufacturing lines.
