LinxMicroPrinthead

Printing small or discreet codes into small spaces is the ...

Linx Printing Technologies has extended its range of printheads with the launch of what it claims is its most versatile head to date.

Well-suited to the electronics, pharmaceutical and confectionery sectors and for consumer products where readability is critical, the Micro printhead reportedly brings a new level of flexibility and reliability to applications requiring discreet printed codes. This, Linx says, is due to its ability to print complex characters and logos in a small space, possible because it uses a greater number of smaller drops to define characters than a standard printhead.

The printhead can print one line of print at speeds of up to 500m/min (8.4m/second) and, when combined with Linx’s MEK-free Black ultra-fast drying ink 1405, provides additional benefits for high speed production lines such as cabling, flow-wrap and bottling, where surfaces may come into contact with eachother soon after printing.
