Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC), a unit of Barry-Wehmiller, has purchased Graphbury Machines to expand its business services in flexographic printers.

Graphbury offers engineering services for the flexible packaging industry and has developed a range of products that can enhance flexographic printers’ production and performance.

The company's  Anilox Laser washing Machine allows the users to clean ceramic and chrome Anilox rolls of any line screen without causing surface wear.

The laser technology can be applied on different kinds of inks and has a capability to vaporize deposited particles inside the cells.

Graphbury offers a range of products and services for both domestic and international markets and provides solutions for its customers in flexography, labeling, gravure, and offset printing.

Barry-Wehmiller chairman and CEO Bob Chapman said: “Our partnership will enhance PCMC’s offerings for the flexible packaging industry and continue to strengthen our customers’ trust.”

Headquartered in Missouri, Barry-Wehmiller is a privately held firm that manages 11,000 employees in more than 100 locations across the world.

So far, Barry-Wehmiller has acquired many companies that provide equipment and services for a variety of industries including packaging, paper converting, sheeting, corrugating, engineering and IT consulting.

Acquistion of Graphbury Machines is the 90th deal made since 1987.

Paper Converting Machine Company has 85 years experience in machine design, manufacturing services and offers machinery for tissue converting, packaging, flexographic printing and nonwovens technology industries.

The company has production centres located across the US, UK and Italy and manages 1000 employees across the world.

PCMC was acquired by Barry-Wehmiller in 2005.
