Nampak and Macfarlane Plastics have broken the 'golden rules' in automotive oil packaging with a pack developed for Castrol.

The blow moulded container features a ‘push fit’ dispensing system from Macfarlane to ease application and does away with a sealing medium to avoid complexity and cost. It is said to set new standards in the control of the blow moulding process. The result is an ergonomic pack featuring two handles for steady pouring of oil.

Castrol has launched the pack across Europe for a range of its engine oil products. A positive consumer response is reported. Says the trade marketing manager: ‘Consumers can now buy a quality engine oil with superb control and precision packaging’.
