MJ Maillis UK has supplied a heavy duty VM9461-2TL fully automatic vertical strapper from its Sander range to furniture giant MFI Furniture Group.
Installed at MFI’s Hygena factory in Howden, North Yorkshire, it will be used with Maillis Tensium extruded polyester strapping to secure packs of the furniture producer’s flat-packed kitchen and bedroom furniture.
Interfaced seamlessly with MFI’s existing conveyor line, the strapper can accept a 1.2×1.2×1.6m long maximum pack size, offers a high product throughput, and incorporates twin-head design and sword features.
Maillis says its Tensium strapping offers high impact resistance, excellent retained tension, enhanced split resistance and inherent strap memory at a cost-effective price.
