A metallic film that is said to add a new decoration “dimension” to ITW Auto-Sleeve stretch sleeves and labels is being used for the first time by a Brazilian drinks company.

Rubi S/A Comercio Industria e Agricultura is decorating 900ml PET bottles of Clarion Contuedo with a sleeve developed by ITW Auto-Sleeve Brazil.

The 50-micron LDPE film can be flexo printed in up to 10 colours, all with a metallic effect to create “a highly distinctive appearance”.

The metallic sleeve “offers an excellent means of creating further product differentiation in competitive markets”, says Reinhard Streit, business development manager European Market of ITW Auto-Sleeve.

“Stretch sleeves provided a cost-effective, clean and efficient labelling solution, and the metallised film maximised the on-shelf appeal of our brand.” added Quirino Pereira da Silva of Rubi.
