Providing customers with a new look for fish and chip packaging and presentation is the Ultimate Fish and Chip box from LINPAC Plastics, which features air flow technology to keep products crisper and drier.

The Ultimate Fish and Chip box has been designed to take excess moisture out and retain heat in the packaging, ensuring batter sticks to the fish, not the chips as it does with traditional fish and chip wrap.

Pre-launch, a nationwide research programme was initiated to ensure the box would suit all standard cuts of fish.

An important additional benefit is the Ultimate Fish and Chip box’s ability to retain heat for up to 20 minutes, the average length of time it takes to make it back home from the chippie. Likewise, the EPS structure remains cool to touch and reduces the risk of getting grease stains on clothing.

Ron Hewitt, general manager of LINPAC Plastics Food Service Division, said: “Although many customers already realise the benefits of using EPS boxes for takeaway food we have taken our design one step further to ensure that the products maintain their crispness and freshness from shop to home.”
