ExypnoTech has developed a customized inkjet printer that can simultaneously read and personalize SmartPaper RFID devices. Its reader modules are compatible with ISO standards 15693 and 14443, and can read and write RFID tags from Texas Instruments (Tag-it), Philips (I-Code, SLI), Infineon (my-d) and ST Microelectronics (LRI).
ExypnoTech states that SmartPaper RFID products are ideal for customers who initially plan to personalize relatively small quantities of labels and tags. The company expects many of these projects and applications to lead to significant growth in RFID component demand.
