Anyone looking to resolve security issues in connection with general packaging and labelling applications could do far worse than head for the beautiful city of Prague where the annual PISEC conference takes place between October 20-22.

Staged by Tarsus, the company that organises the LabelExpo Exhibition, PISEC will incorporate 40 planned specialist papers spanning a wide field of initiatives, including moves aimed at discouraging piracy and tampering; intellectual property crime; and RFID tracking, authentication and tracing.

Jeremy Plimmer, PISEC chairman and secretary general of The Product and Image Security Foundation, said: “Government security and margins in business today have never been tighter.

“Effective product security, whether it is protecting an identity card from alteration or even a branded product from piracy, delivers immediate returns.”
