Speciality chemicals and ingredients distributor IMCD has signed an agreement to purchase 100% stakes in PromaPlast Resinas, Proveedora de Materiales Plásticos, and PromaPlast USA (together known as PromaPlast).

Established in 1996 and located in Lerma, Mexico, PromaPlast is an advanced materials distributor which serves the Mexican and the US markets.

The firm offers a range of resins and compounds to serve the packaging, footwear, consumer goods, home appliances, automotive and other industrial markets along with additive masterbatches.

PromaPlast is ISO 9001-2015 and IMMEX certified with six sales offices, strategically placed warehouses, 109 employees, and 43 technical sales executives all over Mexico and the US.

The deal is anticipated to close in September 2022.
