Germany-based packaging machines manufacturer, Hugo Beck has introduced a new flowpack packaging machine designed to meet the display requirements of the chocolate and confectionery sector.

The new machine, flowpack X-D, is capable of operating at speeds of up to 200 cycles per minute.

It allows customers to produce special display packs for confectionery sector and also allows to be personalized to help deliver perfect results.

Hugo Beck sales director Timo Kollmann said: “Flowpack machines are ideal for packaging in the confectionery sector where air-tightness and stability of the final product are essential.

“No matter the product or the dimensions, our flowpack X-D machine is able to be personalized to each customer’s specific needs to deliver the perfect results.”

The new machine, which can be operated with a wide variety of films, features box motion transversal sealing unit to allow continuous seal for high output while simultaneously manufacturing the header, using two transverse sealing profiles, Hugo Beck said.

Hugo Beck said: “Other features of the flowpack X-D include a film changing machine, control system for aligning the printed film, a choice of belt types for the intake area, and parts specially designedto allow contact with the product.”

Upon collated using accumulation synchronization or kept contact-free through cascade belts, the packs are applied with a color printed card with product information and a best-before date one side.

Other features of the machine include servo axis controller Motion Control and the new generation of Siemens Sinamics in order to ensure high quality packaging with maximum machine uptime.
