As part of what the company says is a “planned expansion”, weigh price labelling equipment supplier Herbert Industrial has acquired PALS Precision Labelling, a 30-year-old company that supplies a wide range of labelling systems, mainly to the food, drink and pharmaceutical industries. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
PALS has a design, manufacturing, sales and customer support network in the UK as well as a sales and customer support operation in France, which Herbert says will now complement its own French operations via its distributor, Precia Molen. Herbert has traded with PALS for several years and says it sees the acquisition as “offering natural synergies to both companies”.
“We will be developing the PALS business in its existing markets,” says Leigh-Ondrea Bendall, Herbert Industrial md. “This acquisition offers excellent opportunities for expansion to both Herbert and PALS.”
