The Gallus Group is negotiating acquire the entire equity interest of BHS Druck- und Veredelungstechnik. Gallus acquired 30 per cent of the German company’s shares in October, 2005. The deal is subject to formal approval by the anti trust authorities, and both parties have agreed not to disclose further information about the transaction.

The acquisition of BHS will allow Gallus to expand its current product portfolio into the folding carton market with wide web machines. The company will also acquire high quality die cutting technology for roll-fed applications, enabling it to reach a broader customer base.

A leading specialist in infinitely variable drive systems in roll-fed printing technology as well as flat bed die cutting machines for in-line applications, BHS has a turnover of €30M and employs 120 people. Gallus is creating an integrated and autonomous business unit that will complement the Heidelberg range of folding carton technology. Gallus and Heidelberg have worked under a co-operation agreement snce 1999.
