Vista Labels, of Stockport, UK, has installed a fully integrated flytec label inspection rewinder with image recognition and inkjet printer. Supplied by AB Graphic International, the flytec 100 camera inspection rewinder has an Imaje S7 ink jet printer for under-side printing that permits label numbering simultaneously with inspection and control in one operation.
When print defects and missing labels are detected, they are positioned in the operator’s field of vision for rectification. The system is designed for final inspection, finishing and numbering of single track label flows at speeds up to 150m/min. It includes a PC based camera bar code reading option for all popular codes with full FDA compatibility.
