London-based purveyor of fine teas, coffees, ready-to-drink juices and soft drinks, Food Brands Group, is Europe’s first company to select Sonoco’s SonoWrap single-wrap paperboard container [Packaging Today – May 2004], for its Percol Fairtrade Teabags.
Brian Chapman, managing director, says: “We are very pleased to be the first to hit UK supermarket shelves in the SonoWrap pack. The new container is perfect for tea. It seals in freshness and its unique caddy design makes a stylish accessory for any kitchen.”
Sonoco is supplying Food Brands with 110x97x172mm, 250g packs that hold 80 round Percol teabags. SonoWrap containers are shaped from a single all-paper laminated structure comprising paperboard and label, and feature a paperboard bottom, peelable membrane closure and plastic overcap.
