Evolving demonstration

PCMC will be running a new Evolution converting system at the LabelExpo Americas show, on booth 845. The eight colour, 660mm print width in-line flexo converting press will be running UV inks on filmic sleeve material. The company says it is “truly gearless” and incorporates AC digital servos that control the print cylinders with precision through a user friendly operator interface.

The multiple substrate press is available in 460 and 660mm print widths and is suitable for flexible packaging, folding cartons, tags, and labels. Its Deck x 2 printhead has a single impression cylinder operating between two colour decks, allowing for a claimed industry shortest web path, plus the facility to add additional print modules and converting options. Change-over for eight colours takes under 30min, it is alleged.
