Endoline Machinery, a UK-based manufacturer of end-of-line packaging machines and systems, has designed a new high-speed, random sealing system for a Brazilian textile and retail clothing company.

The new 0204 case sealer is developed as part of an order made by an undisclosed Brazilian customer for the supply of a case sealer which can handle random sized 0204 case types.

The new sealing system comprises overlapping inner flaps for improved product security.

Endoline Machinery sales director Andrew Yates said: “Not many companies use type 0204 cases because they are very difficult to automate.

“While the double layer offers added protection and overcomes any plastic covering ‘seeping’ out of the gaps, sealing these cases at high speed can cause challenges due to the fact that two flaps need to be folded on top of each other.”

In addition to allowing sealing random sizes cases without bar codes, the 0204 sealing system features a custom case size detection system that includes various sensors to identify the sizes of the boxes passing through the sealer.

Yates added: “E-commerce is growing and with this comes the need for greater protection of goods to protect product integrity.

“The new 0204 case sealer is testament to the fact that we, as experts in end of line machinery, are able to offer the technical solution to meet our customer’s need, without compromising on speed and efficiency.”

The Brazilian clothing company operates more than 850 stores throughout Latin America and also exports its range of clothing brands across the globe.
