Ditone Labels has won a contract with analgesics producer Aspar Pharmaceuticals under which it will print seven million Braille labels and three million Extensia (leaflet-style) Braille labels for the company each year for the next two years.

Aspar was particularly attracted to the Extensia labels, as (Ditone says) they allow a great deal of information to be incorporated onto a small surface area. Ditone has significant Braille labelling experience; sales manager John Haworth sits on the British Standards Institute’s Braille Advisory Committee.

Aspar supplies analgesics to a wide range of British pharmacy and grocery stores, with the strict processes many employ requiring Ditone to undergo an exacting audit.

Jonathan Prudhoe, Aspar project manager, says: This is a highly significant contract, and we needed a packaging supplier that could meet our high standards. Ditone came highly recommended as they have a good track record within the pharmaceutical industry.”
