Crown Bevcan Europe & Middle East this summer celebrated 25 years of canmaking in Agoncillo, Spain, and produced a limited edition 33ml commemorative can to distribute among guests including key customers at special birthday ceremonies.
The plant in the north of the country produces some 1.65 billion steel 33ml beverage cans annually for the Spanish, Portuguese and Moroccan markets.
“The Spanish packaging and drinks market has seen many changes over the past 25 years coupled with a rapid growth in consumer demand,” said Alvaro d’Ornellas, Crown’s md for Spain and Portugal. “As such, the Agoncillo plant has long been a key strategic operation in our European and Middle Eastern portfolio and we look forward to continuing our longstanding customer relationships in the region for at least the next 25 years.”
