Quikpak – a multi-trip ‘one-trip’ security pack has been launched by Envopak claimed to reduce packaging costs by at least 50%.
Although similar in looks to conventional polythene type envelopes, Quikpak is said to be far more durable, able to make at least 50 trips a year.
An additional feature is its tamper evidence which will counter the use of commonplace tampering methods such as freezing.
A leading supermarket is currently looking to switch from tamper evident envelopes to Quikpaks for the home delivery of high-risk items such as alcohol and cigarettes. By re-using the envelope the potential cost savings are estimated at over 85%, says Envopak.
