Yorkshire Packaging Systems (YPS) has installed three fully automatic side feed sleeve sealers and shrink tunnels at contract manufacturer Hallam Beauty’s Bradford factory following a review by the company, which produces own and private label cosmetics and hygiene products, of all its packaging.
The review’s goal was to increase efficiencies and reduce costs while maintaining packs that were secure, presentable and able to survive the distribution process.
The initial order was for one machine with a built-in pack clamp and back-up sensor to allow for both trayless and trayed product. Hallam was so impressed with the Rochman equipment, and its customers with the new shelf-ready packaging, that the third and latest line was recently commissioned less than 10 months after the initial instillation. Almost 95% of the factory’s output is now shrinkwrapped.
