Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell has said that Trinity Packaging is expanding its operations in Rocky Mount facility at Franklin County, by making a $5.85m investment. The Rocky Mount facility makes bags for the lawn and garden industry.

New York-based Trinity Packaging is North American player in plastic products. It makes plastics product that also include retail store bags, mailing envelopes and food service bags.

McDonnell approved a $100,000 grant from the Governor’s Opportunity Fund for the project. The Virginia Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission approved $100,000 for the project.

Trinity Packaging supplies packaging, shipping and material handling products to manufacturing and warehousing companies throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
