Packaging solutions provider Serac Group has completely acquired the French polystyrene bottles manufacturer Agami for an undisclosed amount.
The transaction is expected to strengthen Serac’s position and also help it to expand in the packaging products manufacturing segment.
Earlier in 2010, Serac had invested in Agami to support manufacturing of polystyrene bottles from a plastic sheet (PS).
Since its investment in the firm, Serac has been supporting Agami’s development by offering an outlet for their machines and assisting in fine tuning their design.
Following the acquisition, Serac plans to improve its financial and human resources to increase sales and also develop new applications such as PP bottles manufacturing (polypropylene) and multi-layered bottles for further growth.
