US-based RedLine Solutions has partnered with Missouri-based Diagraph and announced the addition of a new Diagraph Platinum E-Series print-and-apply labelling system to its line of whole-chain traceability solutions.
Print-and-apply or in-line printing applicators are essential for enabling traceability for high volume packing line environments.
As each carton of produce is packed and moves along the packing line, the RedLine system determines the traceability information including GTIN and Lot ID. The information is then sent to the Diagraph E-Series which automatically prints and applies a PTI compliant case label to the carton.
RedLine Solutions CEO Todd Baggett said that the portable Diagraph’s all-electric labelling systems deliver unmatched mobility and its operation eliminates the problem of contamination associated with pneumatic systems while avoiding water or oil leaking on to the products.
“Diagraph’s systems will be an integral part of our RedLine Packing solution for the produce and food industries. Given the versatility and advantages, we’ll be incorporating all-electric labelling systems into many other non-food applications as well,” Baggett added.
