Glass packaging maker Vidreira e Cristalaria de Moçambique in Mozambique, southeastern Africa may resume production by the end of March 2012, after 13 years of being in static condition.

Due to market-related issues, the factory was idle, macauhub.com quoted Mozambican newspaper Notícias.

According to the firm, it will re-launch operations at two production facilities including the glass making unit and the crystal unit. The facility will produce glass bottles for food and drink industries.

In 1990, when the facility was built, Vidreira e Cristalaria de Moçambique had an installed capacity of 120t of glass per day, which was exported to a number of markets, mainly in Southern Africa.
