US-based MonoSol has announced a breakthrough in water-soluble film clarity creating a new offering for MonoDose films. MonoDose Crystal film represents a significant industrial advance by providing ultrahigh clarity in polyvinyl alcohol films.

While the current MonoDose films generally have a clear appearance, they do retain a slight haze as a result of the chemical make up of the film and the production process. By achieving a breakthrough in transparency, this new product is an evolution in packaging design for a number of household brands.

MonoDose films are used for individually packaging doses of a variety of different products including agricultural chemicals, detergents and disinfectants. When the sachets are introduced to water, the film completely dissolves and releases the product.

MonoSol CEO Scott Bening stated that they have been working closely with industrial innovators during its development and MonoDose Crystal is a great example of product development in concert with our partners to help meet and exceed consumer expectations.
