Metso is going to supply two complete tissue production lines to Shanghai Orient Champion Paper for an undisclosed value.

Advantage DCT 100+ and Advantage DCT 135+ are the two new tissue machine lines being supplied. Each of the machines will be equipped with an OptiFlo headbox, a Metso Yankee cylinder, an Advantage AirCap hood, an Advantage WetDust dust management system for enhanced working environment and an Advantage SoftReel reel. Both machines will be delivered with a Metso automation package that includes metsoDNA machine, process and integrated drive controls, as well as a PaperIQ Select quality control system with an IQFiber non-nuclear sensor, and an IQSteamPro steam box for energy saving and moisture profile control.

Both production lines will be installed at Shanghai Orient Champion’s paper making facility in Jinshan outside Shanghai. After the installation of the two lines the total capacity at the mill will double from 70,000 to 140,000 tonnes a year.

The first line is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2011 and the second line in the fourth quarter. The combined market value of two tissue production lines of this type is about EUR15-25mn, depending on the scope of delivery and production output.

Shanghai Orient Champion Paper has a sponsorship agreement with the Shanghai World EXPO, 2010, to provide tissue paper made from recycled milk packaging during the event.
