Linx has launched a latest thermal inkjet printer, Linx IJ200, for the labelling of secondary packaging. The machine enables to print large characters and reliable linear and 2D barcodes directly onto boxes and cartons with a resolution of 600dpi at speeds of up to 120m a minute.

Besides, the printer supports two 50mm printhead assemblies for extra flexibility and has an extensive range of inks and spot colors available.

The user would benefit from a quick start-up-time as the machine is operational within 50 seconds of being switched on, according to PackagingNews.

The machine proves to be a cost-effective, hassle-free alternative to label printing that was ideal for smaller firms.

Linx marketing director Paul Doody said that smaller companies rarely have on-site maintenance, so they need a reliable solution to print secondary codes simply, cleanly and with no hidden costs.
