Learoyd Packaging has planned to expand its buisness in Windmoller & Holscher press by investing about £1.75m. The firm is counting on clients like Cadbury, Muller and Warburtons to buck up the sales ratio.

Learoyd Packaging, a flexible packaging firm, has planned to expand its investment to more than £1.75m in Windmoller & Holscher press.

This Burnley-based food packaging firm has got a sum of £1.75m in asset finance from Lomard, an asset finance arm of RBS to aid the firm to buy equipment for its plant.

The new eight colour flexo machine is the third press Learoyd has bought in the last five years. Allan Ferguson, managing director of Learoyd Packaging, has stated: “As the business expands it is critical that we continue to provide customers with the product and service that they are used to”.

The turnover of the firm has shooted up from £10.5m to £16.5m since 2006 and the firm counts Cadbury, Muller and Warburtons among its clients.

The organisation has currently won a large contract with a national bakery chain and also works with clients in the textiles and personal care market.
