Impress is working with fish company John West to extend its patented 'no drain' can technology across the full range of the company.

Impress, the can maker, is working with fish company John West to extend its patented ‘no drain’ can technology across the full range of the company. The new ‘steel can’ will be utilised for the entire range starting in the month of August and September.

This new steel can was used by the company on a small selection of its products last year, which is known as ‘Delicious No Drain Tuna Steaks’. The patented technology is kept under the cover by the firm.

This aids to cast away the need for excess liquid normally used to prevent drying out and aid sterilisation. Cheetham Bell JWT has created the packaging design for the can. The small selection of ‘No Mess’ range that was launched last February has got record sales ratio of £20m. Inpress is a metal packaging firm that has received safety award for Impress Norwich.
