US-based provider of packaging products to the pharmaceutical industry Integrated Pharmaceutical Packaging has planned to expand its Glasgow facility at Kentucky.

Integrated Pharmaceutical Packaging is set to invest about $5.1m to move into a 106,000sqft facility, where it will create dose-sized packaging, reported Business First.

The expansion plan is the result of a planned expansion of one of the company’s clients, Amneal Pharmaceuticals. In May 2010, Amneal announced a $6.6m expansion in Glasgow.

Integrated Pharmaceutical Packaging has received preliminary approval from the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority for up to $1.5m in tax incentives over a 10-year period.

The performance-based incentives can be earned through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments.
