UK’s drinks brand Innocent is on a move to replace its aseptic carton packaging with PET bottles for its two existing not-from-concentrate juice lines early in 2011, as it launches a new not-from-concentrate juice range.

According to the smoothie group, five SKUs in the range will include a new apple juice and two sizes each of orange juice with bits and orange juice without bits.

"They’ll all come in a lovely carafe which will really stand out in the chilled juice aisle, is easier for consumers to use and is convenient to recycle," a spokesperson for the brand said.

Innocent commercial director Dave Pickup said the existing carton packaging for the smoothies will be retained but will be re-positioned as a snack in 2011.

Innocent Drinks produces smoothies and flavoured spring water, sold in supermarkets, coffee shops and various other outlets nationally as well as in Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, France, Austria, Belgium, Denmark and Switzerland.
