Emmbi Polyarns has acquired a 25% stake in Global Bag from Silagro Gmbh.

Emmbi Polyarns has acquired a 25% stake in Czech Republican company Global Bag, which markets agricultural storage equipments and packaging.

Emmbi Polyarns has acquired the above stake from Silagro Gmbh, an Austrian company which was holding a 50% stake in Global Bag prior to this transaction.

Silagro and Global Bag have signed an exclusive arrangement for marketing Emmbi’s products in the non-English speaking East European countries, which include Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. Emmbi is engaged in manufacture and sale of FIBC (jumbo bags) and woven sacks and various woven polymer based products like container liners, protective irrigation system, canal liners, flexi tanks, car covers.

Makrand Appalwar, managing director of Emmbi Polyarns, said: “This acquisition would not only boost our exports, but also create more opportunities in packaging for agriculture products. The performance of this acquisition will guide us on our global ambitions.”
