Chesapeake Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Packaging has built an alliance with Cartonajes Leca of Spain to enhance the growth in the European market. Cartonajes Leca is one of the leading suppliers of pharmaceutical and cosmetic cartons of Spain.
The involvement of Chesapeake in this alliance has permitted the extension of global supply network to support its customers in Southern European region. Leca would represent both parties in Spain to meet the demands of their customers for a locale source of supply.
Both the business units have chalked out the plan to work together to meet the customer standard and to enhance technical and marketing opportunities. This trading alliance was made for only commercial reasons and it does not involve exchange or ownership of shares or other investment interest.
Mike Cheetham, pharmaceutical and healthcare director, has asserted: “This trading alliance will enhance our service to customers allowing both parties to offer a greater range of products and to jointly develop new solutions”.
Leca has three production sites in Spain with two operations in Madrid and a plant in Barcelona. The business delivers folding cartons to a number of leading multinational pharmaceutical manufacturers as well as local specialist.
