Partners with Gamer Packaging to extend its packaging lineup

Breckenridge Brewery has introduced Avalanche Ale in 12 ounces aluminum cans from Rexam in the Colorado market.

Previously available in glass and plastic bottles, Breckenridge Brewery partnered with Gamer Packaging to extend its packaging lineup to include Rexam cans. The company said it chose aluminum cans because they are a recycled beverage package and are easily portable.

Reportedly, Rexam’s Graphic Art and Printing Plate Operation in Elk Grove, Illinois, set the color and graphic tolerances for reproduction of the Avalanche Ale brand on aluminum cans.

Todd Usry, brewery director of Breckenridge Brewery, said: “The response so far has been tremendous. Retailers and customers alike tell us the quality, eye-catching graphics and design of the cans really make them stand out on store shelves. We are extremely pleased with the end result of the can from Rexam and see a real future for our craft beers in cans.”

Andre Balbi, president and CEO of Rexam Beverage Can Americas, said: “We are pleased to have the opportunity to help Breckenridge Brewery bring their top-quality craft beer to market in aluminum cans. Our 12 oz. can is the perfect solution to help extend the reach of their brand and help build their bottom line.”
