Brewer Adnam's has picked up O-I's unusual blue glass bottle for its new premium coastal beer. This design has bid to evoke its coastal heritage.

This new Spindrift Beer has been launched by Suffolk brewer in a blue bottle that contains clear film labelling aimed at creating the feel of sea spray, according to PackagingNews.

The label of the bottle features a clear film neck and body graphics show waves and bursts of sea spray.

The bottles have been produced by O-I’s Rinteln plant in Germany. This company produces glass in different colours according to its client’s requirements.

Adnams head of take home Mark Holmes said that Spindrift is a fresh take on beer and they have decided to opt a different approach to the packaging.

“Glass reflects the brand’s premium positioning and the blue bottle provides the distinctive, highly contemporary feel we wanted”, Holmes added.
