Coating combination

Cincinnati, Ohio, based coatings manufacturer Michelman has acquired all the technology and related water based coating assets from the former joint venture Proman Coatings. Michelman says it believes the integration of the both companies’ technologies will “reinforce their position as a market leader and offer a new and broader range of water based functional coating solutions to customers worldwide”.

Proman will continue as small lots agent and distributor for Michelman Performance Coatings in the UK. Chris Coyne, formerly with Proman, has joined Michelman as senior account manager, Europe.

Michelman is a global manufacturer of performance enhancing functional and decorative coatings for the paperboard and corrugated box industries. It also supplies in-line coating application equipment for webbed paper and paperboard substrates.
